Our Educators

Miss Amy, BA, M.Ed

Director / Lead Teacher

I graduated with honors from St. Olaf College in 2002 with a double major in English and Studio Art.  I obtained my teaching certification and then my Masters of Education from Bethel University in 2004.   My formative teaching years were spent instructing 5th -8th grade English at Minneapolis Academy (a college prep school for predominantly low income families) for three years.  During these summers I taught Art for K-5th grades with the St. Paul Academy summer art program.

Since then, I’ve been ‘Mama’ and teacher to Alexandra (11) and Justin (8). Over the past few years I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by wonderful teaching inspirations in the local Waldorf school and Early Childhood Family Education programs.

When it came time to 'send' Alex to first grade, I knew I could provide exactly the environment that she needed to thrive.  I jumped into homeschooling head first and haven’t looked back.   In 2017, as a direct response to requests from my Network Marketing and Entrepreneur family friends, I decided it was time to start a new chapter and welcome more students into the fold.  We are officially recognized as a Nonpublic (private) school in the state of Minnesota.    We have capacity to accept 1-2 new onsite students for the 2020-2021 school year at our current location.  Plans are underway for opening Phase 2, which will have a larger capacity for students.

I am also excited to announce that I am working as a consultant with  Microschool Builders to change our world for the better by producing happy, competent, capable, critically thinking members of our American and global society.
